Switching multi-branch on

Settings → Modules

Switch on Settings → Modules → Multi-Branch System. A Branches link appears under Admin for administrators, and a branch dropdown appears in the top bar.

Leave it off if you have one location. It only adds a choice nobody needs to make.

Adding a branch

Branches

Add Branch takes a Branch Name, a City, a Phone, an Address and an Email.

The list shows each branch with how many Staff, Tables and Orders it has, and a switch to make it active or inactive.

Switching between branches

The dropdown in the top bar switches the whole software to one branch. All Branches shows everything together.

Tables, orders, cash accounts and staff all follow the branch you are looking at.

Only administrators get the switcher.

Check the switcher before you read a report. A figure that looks wrong is very often the right figure for a different branch.

Users

Each user has a Branch box. Set it and that person only sees their own branch's data. Leave it on -- No Branch (Global) -- for staff who work across all of them.

Tables are assigned to a branch when they are created, taking the branch you are currently on.

A branch in another country

Branches

Each branch has its own Currency & Language block: a Currency Code, Symbol, Currency Name, Decimals, Symbol Position and Language.

Every one of them is optional. Left blank, the branch follows Settings → Region & Language.

Fill them in only when a branch really is in another country — a chain running one location in rupees and another in dirhams.

Closing a branch

Branches

A branch with orders against it cannot be deleted, and the software will tell you so — deleting it would take its sales history with it.

Switch it inactive instead. It disappears from the switcher and its history stays intact.
