The filter bar every report shares
Reports
Almost every report opens with the same four boxes: Start Date, End Date, Start Time and End Time. Generate applies them and Reset clears them.
The dates default to the start of this month up to today.
The times are a slice of every day in the range, not one long span from the first morning to the last afternoon. Asking for 12:00 to 15:00 across a month gives you the lunch rush on each of those days.
A start later than the end — 22:00 to 02:00 — is read as a shift running past midnight.
Leave both times blank for the whole day.
Reports that snapshot right now rather than a period, like Inventory and Suppliers, have their own filters instead.

Times From: placed or paid
Reports → Sales Report
An order has two times: when it was rung up, and when it was paid. At a counter those are the same minute. On table service they can be hours apart, and across midnight they are not even the same day.
So the Sales Report and the Orders History tab both carry a Times From choice: When the order was placed, or When payment was taken.
It drives the dates, the time-of-day filter and the exports alike, and every row shows both times side by side so nothing has to be guessed at.
Payment time is the clock the Cash Flow Report and the account ledger use. Order time is what the Orders History tab shows by default.
This is the single most common reason two reports appear to disagree. Set them both to the same basis and they will match order for order.
The sale that looked missing
- A table is opened at 11:50 PM on the 4th and settles at 12:20 AM on the 5th.
- Times From set to when the order was placed: the sale belongs to the 4th.
- Times From set to when payment was taken: the same sale belongs to the 5th.
- Neither is wrong — they answer different questions. Nothing has gone missing.
- If a day's sales do not match your cash, check this setting before you check anything else.
Exporting
Reports
Every report has Export PDF, Export Excel and Export CSV beside its filters.
Whatever is on screen is what comes out: the same dates, the same time window, the same filters. An export can never disagree with the list you just read.
The PDF carries your letterhead — the logo, the restaurant name, the tagline, the address, the phone, the email, the website and the tax number — with the period, and any filters you applied, stated under the title.
Excel and CSV keep money and quantities as real numbers, so you can total them yourself.
Exporting needs the Export (PDF / CSV) button permission on the Reports module.
Reports → Sales Report
Answers: what did we sell, and who sold it?
It totals Total Revenue, Total Orders and the Avg Order Value, then breaks the period down by order type, by payment method, by role and by staff member.
Below that come a Daily Breakdown, an Item-wise Sales table showing quantity sold and revenue per dish, and the individual sales themselves.
There is an Item filter so you can read one dish on its own — how many went out, in how many orders, and what they earned.
Voided items are excluded from the item figures.
Reading last month in five minutes
- Set the dates to the first and the last day of the month and leave the times blank, then tap Generate.
- The top cards give you Total Revenue, Total Orders and the Avg Order Value for the month.
- The breakdown by order type tells you whether dine-in, takeaway or delivery is carrying the business.
- The Item-wise Sales table, read from the bottom up, is the list of dishes nobody orders — the ones to take off the menu.
- Export PDF gives you the same figures on your letterhead to keep or to hand to your accountant.
Orders → History
Answers: exactly which orders went through, and what happened to each one?
It is the History tab of the Orders screen, and it is also linked from Reports → Sales & Money as the Order History Report.
Filter by Role, by User, by Status, by a date range, by a time of day, and by the Times From choice. Show All Orders drops the filter that normally limits the list to completed and cancelled orders.
Cards across the top follow the filters: Total Orders, Completed, Cancelled, Total Sales, Avg Order Value, Discount Given and Tax Collected. A restaurant charging for service gets one more card for it, counted apart from Total Sales although it sits inside it. Every money figure counts completed orders only, so a cancelled or still-open ticket can never make the day look bigger than the drawer.
Export PDF, Excel and CSV sit next to the filters. Anyone who can open the Orders screen can print it.
Reports → Cash Flow Report
Answers: what came in and what went out?
It totals Total In, Total Out and Net, and splits the period into Sales, Purchases and Expenses.
It then breaks the flow down by account type and by transaction type before listing every movement with its date, time, account, direction, amount, description and who recorded it.
This report reads by payment time, which is why it can differ from an Order History filed by order time.
Reports → Transactions Report
Answers: every movement in and out of one account.
On top of the shared date and time filters it takes an Account, a Type and a Direction — In, Out or Transfer.
Use it to reconcile one bank account or one card machine against its own statement.
Reports → Expense Report
Answers: where is the money going?
It totals the expenses for the period and the number of entries, and breaks them down by category so you can see which line is growing.
This is the report to read next to the Sales Report at the end of a month.
Reports → Tax Report
Answers: what have we reported to the tax authority?
It only exists while one of the tax integrations — FBR, PRA or ZATCA — is enabled under Settings → Tax Integration. With all three off it is not in the menu.
Reports → Inventory Report
Answers: what is in the store room and what is it worth right now?
It is a snapshot, so it has no date range. Its filters are a Category, a Stock Status — Low / Reorder, Negative Stock, Out of Stock or In Stock — and an active status.
Run it with Stock Status set to Low / Reorder before every buying trip.
Reports → Purchase Report
Answers: what did we buy, from whom, and for how much?
It covers the goods receipts of the period, with a Time column showing exactly when each was recorded.
Reports → Purchase Return Report
Answers: what went back to suppliers, and what did we get for it?
Read it alongside the Purchase Report when a supplier's quality is in question.
Reports → Wastage Log Report
Answers: what are we throwing away, and what is it costing?
It totals the wastage of the period with its cost, so a pattern — one item, one shift, one reason — becomes visible.
Reports → Suppliers Report
Answers: who do we owe, and who owes us?
Its Balance filter narrows the list to Payable (we owe), Advance (they owe) or Settled.
Reports → Online Orders Report
Answers: how is the website doing?
It covers orders placed on your store front over the period, separately from counter sales.
Reports → Online Users Report
Answers: who is registering on the website, and are they coming back?
Reports → Attendance Report
Answers: who turned up, and when?
It counts Present, Absent, Leave, Half Day and Days Marked, gives an attendance percentage per employee, and then lists every day with the check-in and check-out times and any note.
It can be filtered to a single employee.
Reports → Employee Report
Answers: what has been paid out to staff?
It totals Salary Paid, Advances, Deductions and Net Paid Out, breaks them down per employee, and lists every payment with its date, time, type, amount and method.
Reports → Rider Ledger Report
Answers: what have the riders collected, spent and handed over?
Read it when a rider's cash and your records disagree over a period rather than a single day.
Reports → Waiter Shift Report
Answers: what did each waiter sell, and did their cash balance?
It only exists while Settings → Modules → Waiter Shifts is on, and is reached either from Waiter Shifts under Finance or from Reports → People.
Filter by waiter, by status, by date and by time of day, including a shift that runs past midnight.
The cards total the period: shifts, orders taken, sales, cash collected, card and bank, tips, the cash that should have been counted in, what was actually handed over and the difference.
Tips stay with the waiter and out of the cash to hand over.
This chapter describes the software as it is today. Every account gets the same guide inside the product, searchable and printable.
