About the apps
Do I need the app, or does the website work on a phone?
The website works on any phone, tablet or PC — it is the same software. The apps add what a browser tab cannot do: they open from your home screen without an address bar, they show a proper screen when the internet drops instead of a browser error, and on Android you can subscribe from inside the app.
Is it the same account on every device?
Yes. There is one account per restaurant and one set of data behind it. Sign in on the app and you are looking at exactly what the counter PC is looking at, updated as it happens — there is nothing to sync or export.
Does the app cost extra?
No. The apps are free and included in every plan, including the free trial. You are paying for the software, not for the way you open it.
Do I have to update the app when you release something?
Almost never. The apps are shells around the same software the website runs, so a new feature is there the next time you open one — there is no version to chase. The store update only ever changes the shell itself.
