The whole system — the till, the kitchen screen, your menu, your reports — installed locally. The internet is not part of taking an order.
Sales queue while you are offline
Every completed sale is stored on the machine with its own identifier, so nothing depends on the line being up.
They upload exactly once
When the connection returns, the queue syncs. That identifier is what makes a sale impossible to record twice, even if the sync is interrupted.
If your counter PC runs Windows 7
The full offline app needs PHP 8.2, and PHP 8.2 does not run on Windows 7 — a limit of Windows, not of our software. So the Windows 7 download is a till launcher instead: it opens the POS full-screen with no address bar, and the till keeps taking orders through an outage exactly as it does in a browser. Completed sales queue on the machine and upload once when the line returns.
What needs a connection on that PC is the back office — stock, reports and settings — which you can do from any other computer or a phone. On Windows 10 or 11, the full build runs all of it locally.

About the offline app
Do I need the desktop app, or is the browser enough?
The browser is enough for most restaurants — the till already keeps selling through an outage and uploads each sale when the line returns. Install the desktop app when your connection drops often or for long stretches, because it runs entirely on the counter PC and needs no internet at all.
Which version should I download — 32-bit or 64-bit?
64-bit for any PC bought in the last ten years or so, 32-bit for older machines. If you are not sure, the download page marks the one that matches the computer you are reading it on. Installing the wrong one does no harm; it simply will not start.
Does it work on Windows 7?
Yes. There is a separate build for Windows 7, 8 and 8.1, and another for Windows 10 and 11. Counter PCs in this market are often older machines, so both are kept current.
What happens to sales made while offline?
They are stored on the PC and uploaded exactly once when the connection returns — never twice, never lost. Your reports on the web then show the same figures as the counter.
Is the desktop app included in my plan?
It is included in the Professional and Chain plans. Sign in and the download starts; if your plan does not include it, the page tells you which one does.
