Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority — Fatoora

Saudi Arabia's e-invoicing platform, Phase 2 ready

Invoices are generated in ZATCA's required format, cryptographically stamped, and reported through Fatoora as part of completing the sale — in Arabic, with the QR code on the customer's receipt.

What the ZATCA integration does

01

Simplified and standard invoices

A walk-in sale is reported within the allowed window; a corporate invoice is cleared before it is issued. The till knows which is which.

02

Arabic, as required

Not only the totals — the line descriptions too. An English-only receipt is not compliant however correct the rest of it is.

03

The QR code with the stamp and UUID

Printed on the receipt, scannable in ZATCA's own app.

04

It queues rather than stopping

If ZATCA is unreachable, invoices queue and report when it returns. A till that stops selling because an API is down is an outage, not compliance.

Setting it up

Once, at the start. After that it happens on its own.

  1. 1

Onboard with ZATCA and obtain your credentials.

  2. 2

Settings → Tax Integration → ZATCA: switch it on and enter them.

  3. 3

Set the branch to Arabic under Settings → Region, or per branch on a multi-branch account.

  4. 4

Ring up a test sale and scan the QR code with ZATCA's app.
